SOA Webmethod Administrator

Job Description

  • Deploy, Administer, Support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between financial applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance and configuration of webMethods environments.
  • Assess and identify appropriate changes and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Perform webMethods system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, problem resolution, system security and change implementation.
  • Perform webMethods installation, administration and documentation.
  • Work individually or in a team on various system projects related to UNIX, Linux, Windows and Application support.
  • Plan, prepare and apply maintenance fixes and upgrades to webMethods software.
  • Assist application support team with high level problem program debugging through heap and thread dump analysis.
  • Provide system support including off shift on call support as and when required. Increase staff skill levels by cross training.

Requirement

  • 3 years of experience in working on webMethods and any other middleware applications.
  • 3 or more full lifecycle implementation or migration experience.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience on integrating middleware apps.
  • Deployment & production support of WebMethods in an Enterprise environment.
  • Should have strong UNIX/Linux operating system administration experience.
  • Should have experience working with Tomcat, Apache and other J2EE container technologies.
  • Certification / Training in webMethods and middleware applications management services.
  • Experience with installation, configuration and administration of webMethods platform.
  • Experience in deploying clustered, highly available middleware platforms.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Must have quality team building skills, positive attitude, detail oriented, self-motivated and strong project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities that continually change.
  • On call or remote support through regular rotation.
